On Wednesday, March 25, at 8:45 p.m. the third cultural evening (in this case focus will be on politics), will take place at Lionello Bonfanti Industrial Park. We talked about it with Pasquale Ferrara, Italian Ambassador to Algeria and protagonist of the evening.
Pasquale Ferrara, Italian Ambassador to Algeria, accepted Luigino Bruni’s invitation last Wednesday to start the third online seminar live from Lionello Bonfanti Industrial Park. It will be entitled “Power and Care. Politics During the Pandemic” and Mauro Magatti, Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan will also participate.
“Without giving in to the temptation of setting off a virus alarm,” explains Pasquale Ferrara, “we would like to reflect on some political issues opened by the pandemic: for example, the management of transnational phenomena such as this, the relationship between science and politics, the issue of disintermediation and the crisis of representation.”
And then, a look at the future: how will the world come out of it?
“This state of affairs confronts us with political choices.. it highlights the importance of social policies. Putting “care” at the center of politics, instead of power, requires a paradigm shift. Politics must take care of the world, of our Common Home, as Pope Francis would say”.
Here are just a few hints, the rest, you can find out live on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, from 8:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., on Lionello Bonfanti’s website, by clicking HERE.
