Spending Holy Week and Easter in the citadel: proposals and celebrations to experience this special time in Loppiano.
From Thursday, March 28 to Sunday, March 31, Loppiano extends its fraternity workshop to those who choose to spend Holy Week and Easter here.
There are many proposals to experience this special time, in its multicultural atmosphere, immersed in the splendid Tuscan landscape of the citadel.
Drops of Spirituality: “ I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you” (Luke 22:15)
A special edition of “Drops of Spirituality” awaits those who choose to spend the Triduum and Easter in Loppiano, immersed in the welcoming vitality of the citadel, with its young people, families, and artists.
The events of Jesus’ Passion and His Resurrection will be deepened in the light of the charism of unity, through moments of fraternity, meditation, testimony, workshops, and sharing.
What are the “Drops of Spirituality”? It is an experience possible in the citadel of Loppiano aimed at those who wish to discover and deepen the charism of unity. Over the course of a weekend, through different moments, participants will be able to discover, drop by drop, the charism of Chiara Lubich and the Focolare Movement.
The program is designed for an adult audience (ages 35-99).

Loppiano experience: Darkness that Gives Light
“Loppiano Experience: Darkness that Gives Light” is the proposal that the citadel offers to young people for Easter 2024.
We all go through moments of darkness; the key is to traverse them guided by a light. Where can we find it? Where can we seek the true Light capable of illuminating the steps of our lives?
From March 28th to 31st, Loppiano offers young people aged 18 to 34 the opportunity to experience fraternity in its multicultural atmosphere, discovering the spark of light that each person carries within themselves.
The experience includes moments of reflection, artistic and naturalistic workshops, spirituality, and testimonies.

Passion Walk
On March 29th, Good Friday, at 9:00 PM, from the courtyard of the Sanctuary Maria Theotokos in Loppiano, a special journey will begin, traversing some locations within the citadel.
“Trek of Passion, steps of the body, words of the heart” is indeed a route to discover the Christian significance of pain.
Thus, retracing the steps and sorrows of Jesus as he ascends towards Calvary, where the Cross awaits him, we will seek the meaning of those of every man and woman, of human pilgrimage on earth.
Reflections, choreographies, and installations by the youth of Loppiano will accompany the journey.
To fully participate in the experience, organizers recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing along a flashlight and an indelible marker.
